Boats to the Castle

To get to the Citadel from Vaxholm require a shorter boat ride in about 2 minutes. We recommend all guests who want to avoid costs for boats to have dinner in Vaxholm before you go over to Kastellet.

For trips between Stockholm/Vaxholm and Kastellet, SL fare applies; if you have an SL period ticket, you can use it, otherwise a single ticket between Vaxholm and Kastellet costs 43 SEK for adults, 26 SEK for seniors/students/youth, and children under 7 travel for free.

The ticket is valid for 75 minutes, and during this period, you can travel both ways if there are boats in the timetable.
